The droplet size distributions in an industrial self-priming Venturi scrubber with liquid film injection have been investigated for varying gas flow rates and different submergence levels. For this purpose, imaging method analysis, commonly applied spray measurements, was adopted validated by means of synthetic data. characterized probability density functions show a unimodal shape can be satisfactorily represented Nukiyama–Tanasawa distribution functions. increase the rate, cumulative function shifts consistently to smaller equivalent diameters. On other hand, no statistically significant difference found change level. present results are compared two correlations based on scrubbers. Both significantly overpredict experimental wide margin.
